10 Day Challenge!

Since I dropped off the blogging sphere for over a month (NOT FAB!) I figured I could use a little help getting back into my blogging groove.  So this is a 10 day challenge that is very popular and I thought it would be perfect for me.  

So I have to submit 10 SECRETS!  That is a little scary, but here it goes....in no particular order....

1. I get nervous speaking to a crowd if there are people I know.  If it's all strangers, totally fine.

2. I have no tolerance for people who are out of touch with reality and I tend to show it

3. Babies scare the crap out of me...okay not that big of a secret.

4.I sucked my thumb till I was 9, no idea which hand though..

5.I make up songs all the time about anything, like the character on New Girl.  I mean all the time and only my family and boyfriend know I do it.  I like to think of them as little jingles..

6. I am not a natural blonde...BAHAHAHAHAH!

7. CVS is one of my favorite stores and I can spend a lot of time and money in there..I love beauty products

8. I secretly wish I was a glam girl but I just don't have the touch.  Classic & comfort is me....

9. I miss the days of high school and all my girlfriends hanging out even though it was like 15 years ago and I haven't seen them in a ridiculously long time.

10. I wish I owned a really cool boutique that was the hottest place to shop.  Accessories, home decor, trendy items & local artistry.

Okay, so where have I been..clearly not blogging.  I had so much go on this summer with weddings, work and traveling that I need to let go of somethings and that was my blog and reading other blogs.  I have missed you all and reading your blogs so much!  I also did a 21 day cleanse of virtually eating nothing but meat and veggies, so that took up my full attention.  But I am back ready to write about all thing Fabulous, South Carolina living and just random thoughts in general. 

Today I am attending the Little River Shrimp & Jazz festival and maybe our local Oktoberfest.  Georgia Bulldogs plays tonight against Tennessee...GO DAWGS!  Tomorrow is a big day as my NY Jets take on the New England Patriots (NOT FAB!)...I hate Tom Brady, but he is a great fantasy football player!

And I just have to let you know I LOVE THE FALL!  It's my favorite holiday and I will post all the reasons I love it.  Hope you all have a great weekend!  What are your plans?

What I'm Loving Wednesday...Wedding!

I am loving that Cinderella and Prince Charming are getting married this weekend and I get to be a fairy bridesmaid!

No, in all seriousness it is my FAB! friends Tosca and Brad, but they are getting married at a castle...the Biltmore Estate in Asheville, NC!  It's going to be magical but better then that Disney kind of way!

These two mean the world to me and I am so happy for them!  I have a special friendship with each of them and am honored they wanted me by their sides on their big day!

Tail Wagging Tuesday! - Funny Dog

Today's topic is a funny pic of your furbaby!  As many of you know Gigi is a pretty funny dog so it was hard for me to pick just one...so here they are!

She likes to sleep as close to me as possible at work.  Her bed was there but she thought the desk made a better pillow.  She still does it to this day.  (like right now)

When she was a puppy I had dropped a paper towel roll on the floor and she snatched it up.  She runs all over the house with it and holds it out like she is the leader.  Really funny to watch

 Shih Tzu's love anything they can try to rip up ie: paper.  I caught her in my closest one day with her head inside my Ugg boots trying to get at the sherling inside.

Summer Adventures - Firefly Distillery

Back in May I had made a list (view list here) of tourist things I wanted to do this summer.  Due to a crazy schedule this summer trying to get them done started to become a cloud over my head. But now I get to check one off my list.  Last weekend I had some friends from NJ come into town and a I tried to plan a lovely weekend for them in Charleston since they had never been there before.  We stayed at my favorite place Meeting Street Inn which has a lovely happy hour every day for free and a wonderful free breakfast.  Ask for Darren!

After arriving we had a great lunch at Amen Street.  I had never been here before and it was FAB!  I had the baked brie and she crab soup.  But the best was my Rum Peach Bellini that was AMAZING!

We finished up the day shopping, a wine tasting at Charleston Tobacco & Wine and then dinner at the wonderful 39 Rue de Jean.  I had the Mussels in a vegetable cream sauce!  FAB!

The next day my girlfriends from Myrtle Beach met us at the Fresh Market for breakfast crepes! I had the Ham, Salami, Tomato and Cheese crepe and it was beyond great. We completed it with us sharing a Chocolate, Banana & Nutella crepe!

After crepes we were off to the Firefly Distillery!  I love Firefly Sweet Tea vodka and I was so excited to do a little tasting.  Ironically, my College was having an alumni event there and Marcie and I got to see one of our sorority sisters!

The Distillery is out in the middle of nowhere but a beautiful drive through the mossy oaks!  There is also a vineyard but word to the wise...do not try the wines, stick to the hard stuff!  Its a great place to bring a picnic lunch and just enjoy the nature and all the music and fun happening at the distillery.  I hope you get a feel for it through these pics.  I am going to be out that way again in September and I can't wait to bring D. and just spend the afternoon out there.

Show Us Your Football TEAM!

I am linking up with Lindsey at Running Down a Dream to contribute to her Show us Your Football Team post.  

I am a very big NFL fan.  My girlfriends and I even have our own girls Fantasy Football league "Chicks Who Love Football!"   So needless to say I was completely relieved and excited to hear that the NFL would play on!   I grew up in the suburbs of NJ just outside of the Meadowlands and football is huge there as with any large city.  Growing up we had season tickets to the NY Jets and I have loved watching them ever since, even though we have only won one Superbowl.  But its about the loyality to the team not just if they win or lose.

Last year I was able to take my dad a to game for his 60th birthday at the NEW Meadowlands.  We had a blast!  You can check out the post here!  Hopefully they can pull out a Superbowl this year after going to the AFC Championship two years in a row!  J-E-T-S!  Jets! Jets! Jets!
